ANNOUNCEMENTS

Estimated wait time for in-car scheduling:

  • As of 10/8/2025, the estimated wait time for in-car scheduling is 0-1 weeks from the day the student completes the enrollment process by registering and submitting all required paperwork to our office.
  • After the wait time is met, students will receive their login credentials to access our online calendar. From there, they can schedule their own lessons and manage appointments through the self-scheduling system.
  • All sessions will begin and end at the First Drive office, 80 Grace Drive Ste. E, Powell OH 43065

Teen 8-Hour Behind-The-Wheel Only 

  • This 8-hour course meets the State of Ohio Behind-the-wheel training requirement for teens under 18 years old. Must be completed along with a state-approved, 24-hour online driver's ed course to fully meet the state's driver education requirements for teens.
  • Requirements: 1) Complete the online 24-Hour of Driver's Education and receive the Certificate of Completion (OEC); and 2) Have a valid Ohio Driving Permit. Information from both the certificate and the permit are required on the registration form.
  • Registration for Teens under 18 years
  • Registration for Adults 18-20 years
  • Registration for Adult applicants for the non-renewable, non-transferrable (Limited Term) license applicants

Adult 2-Hour Behind-The-Wheel Only:

  • This 2-hour behind-the-wheel session is designed for students 18 years and older, whether you're just starting to drive or looking for focused instruction in specific areas. From preparing for the state driver license exam to mastering roundabouts or improving freeway driving skills, this session provides personalized training to meet your individual needs. 
  • Requirements: A valid Ohio Driving Permit or License.

Adult Remedial Driving Course:

  • Next class will be held on November 1, 2025, from 8AM to 5PM at First Drive Driving School.
  • This is an 8-hour, in-person classroom course completed in one day that meets State of Ohio requirements for having your license reinstated after a 12-point suspension, for a court-ordered action, and for the 2-point credit.

Online Courses:

Teen 32-Hour full-course (including 24-Hour of in-person class and 8-Hour of Behind-The-Wheel): 

  • Due to limited in-car lesson capacity, we are currently unable to regularly offer the full teen course that includes the in-person classroom session. When we are able to schedule this, we will post the details here 2-4 weeks before the first class session. If you would like to be notified when teen classes are planned, please email us.
