FOR TEENS WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED A STATE-APPROVED ONLINE DRIVER’S ED COURSE
This course, when preceded by completion of a 24-hour online teen driver’s ed course approved by the State of Ohio, completes the Ohio teen driver training requirement. The four 2-hour in-car training sessions progress in complexity, covering a wide range of real-world driving environments and scenarios. Upon completion in good standing, the student will receive the final Certificate of Completion needed to take the license exam before their 18th birthday.
PREREQUISITES
- Certificate of Completion* from a state-approved online teen driver’s ed course in hand
- Valid Ohio temporary driving permit*
- Some previous driving experience**
*When completing the registration form, you will need the “OEC” number and issue date from the online course certificate, and the license number, issue date, and expiration date from the driving permit.
**No specific type or amount of experience, but should have basic vehicle control and at least a little time on residential streets.
PRE-REGISTRATION NOTES
- Please enter the student's legal name on the registration, and verify accuracy of all information before submitting.
- Driver training records and certificates are official government documents, and the information entered on this registration will be used to generate the final completion certificate, and the certificate will be invalid if it does not accurately reflect the student's legal name, address, and birth date.
- Most of our essential communication will be through email. It's best to include at least two different email addresses on the registration, ideally the student's and one parent's, and ensure they are entered accurately. An additional parent email address may also be entered.
- To activate the student's enrollment and get on the BTW scheduling waitlist, you will need to sign and submit the Training Agreement (a contract), the BTW Session Rules, Cancellation Policy, and other documents.

- affirmation that the student meets all prerequisites listed above;
- acceptance of the Training Agreement and policy documents linked above;
- acknowledgement that the Training Agreement and policy documents linked above must be signed and, along with a printout of the online course completion certificate, submitted in original hardcopy to a First Drive office to complete the enrollment process;
- understanding that there will be a wait from completion of enrollment until BTW sessions are scheduled, and that stated estimated wait times are strictly estimates;
- acceptance of the Refund Policy stated below.
REFUND POLICY
10% of the purchase price is immediately non-refundable due to unrecoverable registration processing costs incurred at the moment of purchase. Upon execution of the Training Agreement, no refunds will be issued if First Drive Driving School LLC is operating within the terms of the Training Agreement.
